Actually when I was given this theme about stressing less to write about, I did have no idea at all. Then I realized that I am now encountering something stressful. I have just finished my study and been preparing for my graduation. Everything has been done perfectly when I know I still have to do! An internship! Alright, it might seem not a big deal for some people, but for me, that, have been rejected for thousand times, is a real burden!


So, now I am also in stress area.. no, not stressed, but more like DEPRESSED.

I have no jobs at the moment, so yeah it’s kind of frustrating, isn’t it?

I just sat in front of my computer, looked around, and suddenly starring on my bookshelf. Hmm, I thought to myself, what I could read. I stopped glaring at the bookshelf and stuck finding a book that has never been read for almost four years I guess, The Bible Cure for Heartburn & Indigestion. Such a weird book coming to my mind when I am thinking about things that has no relation at all to human digestion!


But, I still took it off the bookshelf, read it and just enjoyed every words of it, stopped at the page of fifteen. There I found a bible verse:


“Don’t worry about anything, but in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always asking Him with a thankful heart. And God’s peace, which is far beyond human understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe, in union with Christ Jesus. In conclusion, my brothers, fill your minds with those things that are good and deserve praise: things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and honourable.”

 — Philippians 4:6-7


Stressing about your life, everything comes to your job, work, school, assignments, and such is just like having something to worry and be unthankful about. When you stress about almost everything, it does make you uncomfortable and disgraceful.


Stress doesn’t earn anything but illness and poison to your bodies. It shortens your telomeres that absolutely ages you, cumulates cortisol (stress hormone) that rapes your sleep, your fun life, and happiness. Stress even robs all the enzymes needed for digesting food.


Stop stressing about anything now!!


Say thanks to yourself, accept yourself, get closer to God, read bible verses and be thankful for everything that happens in your life.


Sounds a cliché, doesn’t it?

I found it a cliché once. Easy to say, hard to practice. But, if it is hard, it still can be done. It is not impossible. I affirmed it to myself, wrote it for everyone, not because I have succeeded, but to remind me that I still have a lot to learn, including to lessen my stress and be happy and joyful for life.


Nothing could rape your joy and happiness, so, Mr.Stress, could you find your way an exit door now?
